Bladder Tanks

The bladder tank is a component of a balanced pressure proportional system that includes a pressure gauge tank with an internal elastomer bladder for storage of foam concentrate. Once the system is activated, the incoming water pressurizes the concentrate inside the bladder, which supplies the pressurized concentrate to the proportioning device. The device meters the foam concentrate into the fire water line, creating a foam solution. The solution is then channeled to an exhaust device that protects the hazard area.
New & Improved Design
The entire range of high-quality bladder tanks CHEMGUARD has been redesigned from the ground up, with a focus on design flexibility, reduced lead times and usability in the field. The CHEMGUARD Bladder Tank can be configured for a variety of options that will not change lead times, including:
- Trim Pipe Material
- Standardized and Corrosion-Resistant Paint
- Alternative Paint Colors
- Vision Meter
- Thermal Pressure Relief Valve
Horizontal Bladder Tank
Vertical Bladder Tank
The new design includes a variety of features that make installation, service and maintenance more efficient and convenient. Some key features/benefits:
- Open Leg Design - easy access to the bottom of the tank
- New Shell Drain System - faster recharge after trial testing
- Standard Grooved Coupling Connection - easy integration into fire fighting water piping
- Reversible Water Inlet - pipes from both sides of the vertical tank
- Main Shut-off Valve - Use, install, or replace sight gauges with less mess
- Valve Nameplate with Ring Pins and Vandal Seals - No more questions about which valve is which or which valve position was left where
Bladder tanks have a wide range of applications, including truck loading racks, aircraft hangers, dip tanks, pump rooms, and helipads. Because the tanks require no external power supply other than a pressurized water source, they are more economical compared to pump systems (for systems under 2,000 gallons). And bladder tanks, due to their simple design, require little maintenance.
Bladder tanks are available in horizontal, vertical and pre-piped models.
